Applicable to the following models: Land Rover L663/L462 21 MY/L550 21 MY/L551 21 MY/L560 21 MY

ISSUE

Following a 'PIVI Software Recovery Application' using Pathfinder P323 or earlier the navigation system may default to Berlin, Germany regardless of vehicle location and the satellite navigation system may not perform as anticipated.

CAUSE

Software recovery application may corrupt the global positioning Satellite firmware files.

ACTION

If you have a vehicle with the concern highlighted above after carrying out a PIVI software recovery application, carry out a further recovery application using Pathfinder P324 software or later.

If the recovery is not successful, please raise a Technical Assistance quoting EES_200 sub-group PIVI for further guidance.

NOTE: When attempting a second recovery Pathfinder will present on screen that 'The software is at the latest level and do you want to continue' select yes update anyway to continue and follow all on screen prompts to complete the task.

NOTE: The software recovery application should not be used for carrying out PIVI software updates as a matter of course as a Software Over the Air (SOTA) update is the preferred and most robust method of repair
