Functional Test
- Using jumper wires, connect vacuum actuator terminals No. 1 and No. 2 to battery positive terminal. Connect negative lead to terminal No. 3. Slowly apply 12 in. Hg of vacuum to vacuum actuator and ensure control cable is pulled smoothly.
- With 12 in. Hg of vacuum applied to actuator, ensure control cable does not retract. Some vacuum actuator leakage is allowable. Disconnect terminal No. 1 and ensure control cable returns to its original position. See Figure. If operation is not as specified, replace vacuum actuator.
