Problem Symptom Confirmation/Symptom Simulation
- Road test vehicle to confirm problem symptoms. If the problem does not reoccur, simulate the problem by shaking, wiggling or applying vibrations to the affected wiring harness or components.
- Shake connectors vertically and horizontally. Wiggle wiring harness vertically and horizontally, especially in areas where harness passes through body grommets.
- Apply a slight vibration to components considered to be possible causes of the problem, and check if malfunction occurs. DO NOT vigorously shake relay, or open circuit in relays could result.
