Power Seat: Disassembly

NOTE: When using a screwdriver, be sure to tape the tip.
  1. Remove the seat garnish. Using a screwdriver, pull out the snap ring and remove the handle. See Fig 2.
  2. Using the screwdriver, remove the two switch knobs and the three screws. See Fig 2.
  3. Remove the three screws from the lower side of the seat. See Fig 3.
  4. Remove the garnish as shown in Fig 1 and Fig 3 .
  5. Disconnect the connector.
  6. Remove the seat back board. Remove the two screws. See Fig 4.
  7. Push the board as shown in Fig 4 with you hands.
  8. Slide the board upwards and remove it. See Fig 4.
  9. Remove the seat back assembly. Using the screwdriver, remove the hog rings and disconnect the hooks from the seat back. See Fig 5.
  10. NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness and connectors in the following steps.
  11. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
  12. Disconnect the connector.
  13. Remove the four bolts and the seat back assembly. See Fig 6.
  14. Remove seat cushion assembly. Remove the four bolts shown in Fig 7.
  15. Disconnect the connectors.
  16. Remove front seat inner belt. See Fig 8.
  17. Remove seat back cover. Remove the headrest grommets. See Fig 9.
  18. Peel the seat back cover away from around the seat back cushion. See Fig 9.
  19. Remove seat track. Remove the four bolts and the seat track. See Fig 10.
  20. Remove lumbar support motor. Remove the two bolts and the motor. See Fig 11.
  21. Remove the seat cushion cover. Peel the seat cushion cover away from around the edge of the seat cushion. See Fig 12.
  22. Remove the eight screws and vertical motors. See Fig 13 and Fig 14 .
  23. Remove front seat link with front vertical motor. Remove the two screws and the screw support bushing. See Fig 15.
  24. Remove the four nuts and the link. See Fig 15.
  25. Remove slide motor. Remove the two screws and the motor. See Fig 16.
  26. Remove the cable. See Fig 16 .
  27. Remove front seat link with rear vertical motor. Remove the two screws and the screw support bushing. See Fig 17.
  28. Remove the snap ring from the link. See Fig 17.
  29. Remove four nuts and the link. See Fig 17.
  30. Remove front seat motor support bracket. Remove the bracket from the front seat track. See Fig 18.
