Upper Console Panel: Removal

1. Remove the shift lever knob. To remove, slide the shaft collar downward and remove the two screws. See Fig 1.
2. Remove the knob.
3. Remove the upper rear console panel, to remove, open the ash tray lid.
4. Lift the console panel towards yourself. See Fig 2.
5. Insert your finger in the shift lever groove and pull the console panel upward away from yourself. See Fig 2.
6. Remove the lower panel.
NOTE: In the following steps, do not pull on the cup holder lid.
7. Remove the cup holder. To remove, open the cup holder lid and pull up the holder.
8. Remove the upper console panel. Remove the six screws and pry out of the panel. See Fig 3.
