System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position (engine not running). If no fault codes are present, SRS warning light should go out after 10 seconds. The following conditions indicate SRS system is malfunctioning and an SRS fault code will be stored in crash sensor memory:

• SRS light does not illuminate.
• SRS light does not go out after 10 seconds.
• SRS light does not go out after engine is started.
• SRS light comes on while driving.
