Operational Tests

Disconnect wiper motor. Connect jumper wire between battery positive terminal and wiper motor terminal No. 3. See Fig 1. Connect a second jumper wire between battery negative terminal and wiper motor body. If wiper motor operates at low speed, go to next step. If wiper motor does not operate at low speed, replace wiper motor.
Connect jumper wire between battery positive terminal and wiper motor terminal No. 2. Connect a second jumper wire between ground and wiper motor body. If wiper motor operates at high speed, go to next step. If wiper motor does not operate at high speed, replace wiper motor.
Operate motor at low speed. Stop motor operation anywhere except at off position by disconnecting terminal No. 3. Use jumper wire to connect wiper motor terminals No. 3 and 5. See Fig 1.
Connect jumper wire between positive battery terminal and wiper motor terminal No. 6. Connect a second jumper wire between ground and wiper motor body. Ensure motor operates and then stops at stop position. If motor operation is not as specified, replace wiper motor.
