Telescopic Lock Motor Circuit

1. Turn ignition on. Operate telescopic manual switch and note telescopic motor movement. If motor does not operate for .3 seconds, go to next step. If motor operates for .3 seconds, go to TROUBLE SHOOTING  and identify next circuit to be checked.
2. Disconnect telescopic lock motor connector. Measure continuity between telescopic lock motor connector terminals. See Fig 1. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace tilt steering gear assembly.
3. Check and repair wiring harness between tilt and telescopic control module and telescopic lock motor connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring harness is okay, check and replace tilt and telescopic control module.
