Test 11: Engine Coolant Temp. Gauge Does Not Work Properly
- Check continuity between sending unit body and engine block. Replace sending unit if continuity does not exist. If continuity exists, check engine coolant temperature gauge. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace as needed.
- Disconnect instrument panel connectors "B" and "C". Check continuity between connector "C" terminal No. 12 and ground. If continuity does not exist, repair wiring between connector "C" terminal No. 12 and sending unit. Check continuity between connector "B" terminal No. 12 and ground. If continuity does not exist, repair wiring between connector "B" terminal No. 12 and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step.
- Check gauge resistance. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace as needed. If gauge resistance is okay, replace power source unit.
