Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Temperature Sensor

Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove EGR temperature sensor. Sensor is located next to EGR valve, on EGR pipe. With sensing portion of EGR temperature sensor submerged in hot oil, measure resistance between terminals. See Fig 1. Replace EGR temperature sensor if resistance is not as specified. See EGR TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE  table.
