Door Lock Buzzer Circuit Test
- Disconnect door lock buzzer (located under glove box). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between buzzer terminals. Resistance should be about 1000 ohms. Replace buzzer if necessary. If resistance is as specified, go to next step.
- Disconnect buzzer volume control. Check resistance between buzzer volume control terminals (inner pair of terminals) while changing volume. Resistance should vary from infinity to zero ohms. Replace buzzer volume control if resistance is not as specified. If resistance is as specified, go to next step.
- While pressing transmitter button, backprobe for voltage between wireless door lock ECU terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. See Figure. If no voltage exists, replace wireless door lock ECU and retest system operation. If voltage momentarily exists, check for open in buzzer circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace circuit as necessary and retest system operation.
