BRAKELIGHT Switch

NOTE: Brakelight switch is also referred to as stoplight switch.
  1. Brakelight switch is located above brake pedal. See Figure. Before adjusting brakelight switch, ensure brake pedal height is correct. See BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT . Disconnect brakelight switch connector. Loosen brakelight switch lock nuts. Turn brakelight switch in until threaded part of switch slightly contacts pedal stopper.
  2. Turn brakelight switch out one turn. Clearance between brakelight switch threaded part of switch and pedal stopper should be .02-.09" (0.5-2.4 mm). Tighten lock nut. Check brakelight operation. Brakelights should illuminate when brake pedal is depressed .20-.59" (5-15 mm).
