Pressure Switch
- Pressure switch is located on receiver-drier, in front of condenser. See Fig 1. Install manifold gauge set. Turn ignition on. Start engine. Turn blower and A/C on. Observe system pressure. Unplug pressure switch connector. Check continuity between pressure switch terminals No. 1 (White/Black wire) and No. 4 (Blue/Black wire).
- Continuity should not exist if pressure is less than 28 psi (2.0 kg/cm2
) or pressure is more than 455 psi (32 kg/cm2
). Continuity should exist if pressures are 28-455 psi (2-32 kg/cm2
). If continuity is not as specified, replace pressure switch.
