Automatic A/C-Heater Systems: Description

NOTE:
When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
All A/C-heating functions are controlled automatically by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) located within the A/C-heater control assembly. Manual controls allow the driver to select air distribution mode and desired temperatures. In addition to normal A/C system components, the system includes various servomotors, controls, and sensors. An exhaust gas (smog) sensor measures amounts of CO and HC gases present in intake air and is used to control fresh and recirculated air modes. A/C system has self-diagnostic capabilities.
