Control Valve Assembly

The control valve assembly consists of leveling valves for adjusting vehicles height and gate valves for controlling right-left wheel communication function. There are 4 valves each for front and rear. See Fig 1.

  1. Leveling Valve -  This valve opens and closes oil passage between pump and gas chamber located at each wheel. Normally oil passage remains closed and, during vehicle height control, oil passage opens in accordance with signal received from suspension control ECU. See Fig 2.
  2. Gate Valve -  This valve opens and closes oil passage between right and left shock absorbers. Normally oil passage remains open connecting right and left shock absorbers. When suspension control ECU determines that oil passage between right and left shock absorbers must be closed, gate valve activates to close oil passage. See Fig 3.
