Cooling System (Mechanical): Thermostat: Installation

PLACE THERMOSTAT IN WATER INLET HOUSING.
1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
2. Insert the thermostat into the water inlet housing with the jiggle valve facing straight upward.
  NOTE: The jiggle valve may be set within 30° of either side of the prescribed position.

INSTALL WATER INLET. Install the water inlet with the 3 nuts.
1. Torque: 19 N.m (195 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
FILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING in COOL SYSTEM MECHANICAL.
START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS .
INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET .
