GS300, GS400, LS400, Lx470, SC300 & SC400
NOTE:
Manufacturer does not list procedure for Throttle Position (TP) sensor adjustment on the vehicle. Only information available is for checking resistance of TP sensor. Manufacturer lists adjustment procedure only when replacing TP sensor. Proper adjustment must be performed when installing TP sensor on throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY under FUEL SYSTEM in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article.
- Disconnect electrical connector from TP sensor. Note electrical terminals on TP sensor. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals VC and E2 on TP sensor. See Fig 1 and Fig 2
. Replace TP sensor if resistance is not within specification. See THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE (GS300, GS400, LS400, LX470, SC300 & SC400) table.THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE (GS300, GS400, LS400, LX470, SC300 & SC400)
