- Door unlock detection switch is built into door lock motor assembly. Remove door trim panel and service hole cover to access door lock motor assembly. Disconnect 4-pin door unlock detection switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between switch connector terminals No. 1 and 4. See DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION table. When door is unlocked, continuity should exist. When door is locked, continuity should not exist. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace door unlock detection switch.DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION

See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If circuits are okay, check anti-theft ECU pin voltages. See ANTI-THEFT ECU PIN VOLTAGE TESTS under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace components as necessary and retest system operation. Proceed to next test listed in SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
