Section 437 (Tire And Wheel): Inspection

INSPECT TIRE
1. Check the tires for wear and for the proper inflation pressure.
  1. Cold tire inflation pressure

2. Check the tire runout.
  1. Tire runout: 3.0 mm (0.118 in.) or less

ROTATE TIRE
HINT:
- Rotate tires as shown in Fig 3 .
- Rotate as shown in (B) if the spare tire is included in the rotation.

INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE
1. Check and adjust the Off-the car balance.
2. If necessary, check and adjust the On-the car balance.
  1. Imbalance after adjustment: 14.0 g (0.031 lb) or less

CHECK FRONT SUSPENSION FOR LOOSENESS
CHECK STEERING LINKAGE FOR LOOSENESS
CHECK BALL JOINT FOR LOOSENESS
CHECK SHOCK ABSORBER WORKS PROPERLY
- Check for oil leak
- Check the mounting bushings for wear
- Bounce front and rear of the vehicle
