Section 382 (Sliding Roof): Installation

  1. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING 
    1. Install the sliding roof housing with the 6 nuts to the body.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in. lbf) 

    2. Install the 6 brackets with the 12 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in. lbf) 

    3. Connect the 4 drain hoses with the 4 clips to the housing.

  2. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF GLASS 

    Install the sliding roof glass with the 4 nuts.

    Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in. lbf)

  3. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF GARNISHES 

    Install the sliding roof garnishes to the body.

  4. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING 
    1. Install the 2 side rail spacers with the 6 screws.
    2. Slide the roof headlining rearward to connect the hook to the body.
    3. Fasten the fastener tape and install the 3 clips to the body.

  5. INSTALL HOLDERS 

    Install the 2 holders with the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH 
    1. Install the roof side inner garnish spacer with the 3 screws.
    2. Install the roof side inner garnish as shown in the illustration.
    3. Use the same manner described above to the other side

  7. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH 
    1. Install center pillar upper garnish with the 2 screws.
    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  8. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH 
    1. Install the center pillar lower garnish as shown in the illustration.
    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  9. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH 
    1. Install the front pillar garnish and cover.
    2. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    3. Close the cover.
    4. Use the same manner described above to the other side.
  10. INSTALL MAP LAMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connectors.
    2. Install the map lamp assembly with the 4 screws.
    3. Install the lens and cover.
  11. INSTALL INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR COVER 
  12. INSTALL SUN VISORS 
  13. INSTALL ASSIST GRIPS 
  14. INSTALL REAR PERSONAL LIGHTS 
  15. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIMS 
  16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIMS 
  17. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISHES 
  18. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES 
  19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES 
  20. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  21. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION (See  INSTALLATION  )
