Park/Neutral Position Switch

- Check that engine can only be started with shift lever in the "N" or "P" positions, not in any other. If so, proceed to adjust Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch.
- Adjust PNP switch using the following steps:
- Loosen bolt of PNP switch and set shift lever to "N" position.
- Align the groove and neutral basic line. See Fig 1.
- Hold switch in position and tighten 2 bolts to 10 ft. lbs. (13 N.m).
- After adjustment, perform inspection as described in step 1.
