Test A: Driver's Door Does Not Operate
- Remove the power window regulator master switch and disconnect the connector. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Check if there is voltage of 10-14 volts between terminal No. 1 of the vehicle side connector of the master switch and ground. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If the voltage is as specified, go to the next step. If the voltage is not as specified, the wiring harness between the POWER fuse (located in the LH cowl side junction block behind the left kick panel) and master switch terminal No. 1 is defective.
- With the ignition switch ON, check if there is voltage of 10-14 volts between terminal No. 3 of the vehicle side connector of the master switch and body ground. If voltage is as specified, the wiring harness between power main relay terminal No. 3 and master switch terminal No. 3 is defective. If the voltage is not as specified, go to the next step.
- Check if continuity exists between terminal No. 9 of vehicle side connector of the master switch and body ground. If continuity exists, go to the next step. If continuity does not exist, the wiring harness between master switch terminal No. 9 and body ground is defective.
- When battery voltage is supplied to the vehicle side connector of the master switch, check if the door glass operates. See INSPECTING MASTER SWITCH OPERATION table. If operation is OK, replace the power window regulator master switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If operation is not good, go to the next step.INSPECTING MASTER SWITCH OPERATION
Connection Glass Operation Battery Negative - Terminal No. 20, Battery Positive - Terminal No. 8 UP Battery Positive - Terminal No. 8, Battery Negative - Terminal No. 20 DOWN - Check if the power motor is normal. If the motor is normal, the wiring harness between master switch terminal No. 20 and power window motor terminal No. 2 or master switch terminal No. 8 and power window terminal No. 1 is defective. If the motor is not normal, replace the power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR (FRONT) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
