Inspection Procedure

  1. Remove the power seat ECU with connectors still connected. Measure the voltage between connector P25 terminals No. 8 (+B) and P25-7 (GND) of the power seat ECU connector. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If voltage is between 10-14 volts, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the voltage is not as specified, go to the next step.
  2. Measure the resistance between connector P25 terminal No. 7 (GND) of the power seat ECU connector and body ground. If continuity is less than 1 ohm, go to the next step. If continuity is not as specified, repair or replace the harness or connector.
  3. Check the AM1 fuse located in the engine room junction block and the POWER fuse located in the left hand cowl junction block behind the left kick panel. If the results are OK, check and repair the harness or connector between the power seat ECU and battery. If the results are not good, check for a short in all the harnesses and components connected to the AM1 and POWER fuses, and repair them. See Figure.
