Without Hand-Held Tester
- Using special tool (09843-18020 or 18040), jumper between terminals Tc and E1
of (DLC1) or Tc and CG of (DLC3). See Fig 1.
- Turn ignition switch on. Read DTC flash code from ABS or VSC TRAC warning light on combination meter. For flashing patterns for normal and codes 11 and 21 see Fig 2.
- If any DTCs are retrieved, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
- If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time the lowest numbered DTC will be displayed first.
- If a code does not appear, inspect Tc circuit, ABS or VSC TRAC warning light circuit. Perform appropriate test under SYSTEM TESTING .
- After completing check, remove special tool.
