Inspection Procedure

1. check the initial condition of the vehicle of the vehicle.
   1. No key in the ignition key cylinder.
   2. All doors closed (door open indicator off).
   3. All doors locked.

1. Check that the LOCK/UNLOCK switch operation can be done once more after the operation is repeated 3 times or more in the standard operation.

1. OK: NORMALITY 
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

1. When the transmitter battery is exchanged into new or normal one, check that the LOCK/UNLOCK switch operation can be done once more after the operation is repeated 3 times or more in the standard operation.

1. OK: REPLACE TRANSMITTER BATTERY 
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

1. Enter into self-diagnostic mode.
   NOTE:

   • If LEXUS hand -held tester demands to finish it, it enters into the normal mode.
   • During the self-diagnostic mode, do not carry out the LOCK/UNLOCK operation.
   1. Check that the it has entered into the self-diagnostic mode by the answer back of the wireless door lock buzzer sound.

1. NG: GO TO STEP   9 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

1. Inspect outputs of the diagnosis when the door control transmitter switch has been kept pressing (Check of diagnosis output can be made by output of the wireless door lock buzzer sound.).

1. NG-B: GO TO STEP   11 
2. OK: GO TO STEP   12 
3. NG-A: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

1. It enters into the self-diagnostic mode by an operation of the LEXUS hand-held tester or the ignition switch. 
2. When the new or normal transmitter switch for the same type vehicle is operated in the standard operation, check whether a discord of the recognition code is output.

1. OK: REPLACE TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSY MODULE SET DOOR CONTROL 
2. NG-B: GO TO STEP   8 
3. NG-A: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

1. Active test

   Standard:

   1. During the active test, check that 5 V is input to terminal 5 (+5) of the inner mirror (receiver) (I19), using oscilloscope.

1. Check the inner mirror and theft warning ECU continuity between wire harness terminals.

   1. Connect the tester lead to the inner mirror connector (I19) terminal 5 (+5) and theft warning ECU connector (T7) terminal 15 (RCO).

   Standard: Continuity 

1. OK: REPLACE TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSY MODULE SET DOOR CONTROL 
2. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS (WIRELESS RECEIVER +5 - THEFT WARNING ECU RCO) 

1. NG: GO TO STEP   5 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

1. OK: REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY 
2. NG: REPLACE WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER 

1. Active test
   1. Check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds by the active test.

Standard: 

Theft warning (security) ECU (switch condition) 

1. NG: GO TO FLOWCHART OR PROBLEM SYMPTOM TABLE (See  BUZZER CIRCUIT  ) 
2. OK: REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY 

1. Re-register the transmitter in the add mode.

1. OK: COMPLETED (RE-REGISTRATION OF RECOGNITION CODE IS NORMAL) 
2. NG: REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY 

1. Check the inner mirror and theft warning ECU continuity between wire harness terminals.

   1. Connect the tester lead to the inner mirror connector (I19) terminal 9 (RSSI) and theft warning ECU connector (T7) terminal 30 (RSSI).

   Standard: Continuity 

2. It enters into the self-diagnostic mode by an operation of the LEXUS hand-held tester or the ignition switch.
3. When the new or normal transmitter switch for the same type vehicle is operated in the standard operation, check whether a discord of the recognition code is output.

1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 

1. It enters into the self-diagnostic mode by an operation of the LEXUS hand-held tester or the ignition switch.
2. When the new or normal transmitter switch for the same type vehicle is operated in the standard operation, check whether a discord of the recognition code is output.

1. NG: REPLACE TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSY MODULE SET DOOR CONTROL 
2. OK: REPLACE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY(BAD THE DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER)
