Back Window Frame Sub-ASSY Upper: Overhaul

HINT:

COMPONENTS: See Figure

1. MOVE ROOF PANEL TO HALF 
   1. Referring to the manual operation procedures, half-open the roof.

2. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH [62471A / 98-89] 
   1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
   2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 7 clips.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   3. Remove the inner roof side garnish RH.

3. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH [62472A / 98-89] 
4. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY REAR [63320E / 98-90] 
   1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 7 clips.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   2. Remove the rear roof headlining rear.

5. REMOVE BACK WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSY UPPER [63105D / 98-87] 
   1. Using a torx socket, remove the 8 screws.

      Torx socket (T40): 09042-00020 

   2. Remove the back window frame.

6. REMOVE REMOVABLE ROOF WEATHERSTRIP REAR [63252B / 98-87] 
   1. Remove the 4 screws, 2 nuts and 4 clips.
   2. Using a clip remover, disengage the clips.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   3. Remove the removable roof weatherstrip rear.

7. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHER STRIP RETAINER REAR RH [62371A / 98-106] 
   1. Remove the 4 screws and rear roof side rail weatherstrip retainer RH.

8. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHER STRIP RETAINER REAR LH [62372A / 98-106] 
9. REMOVE BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING 
10. REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS [64811 / 98-87] 
11. CLEAN BACK WINDOW GLASS [64811 / 98-87] 
12. INSTALL BACK WINDOW GLASS ADHESIVE DAM [64813D / 98-87] 
13. INSTALL BACK WINDOW GLASS [64811 / 98-87] 
14. INSTALL ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHER STRIP RETAINER REAR LH [62372A / 98-106] 
15. INSTALL ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHER STRIP RETAINER REAR RH [62371A / 98-106] 
16. INSTALL REMOVABLE ROOF WEATHERSTRIP REAR [63252B / 98-87] 
17. INSTALL BACK WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSY UPPER [63105D / 98-87] 

    Torque: 40 N.m (408 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf) 

18. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSY REAR [63320E / 98-90] 
19. INSTALL ROOF SLIDER RH [62471A / 98-89] 
20. INSPECT FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
