Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSY N0.1 
    1. Disconnect the pattern select switch connector.
    2. Check continuity between each terminal of pattern select switch connector when the select switch is set to PWR, NORM or SNOW positions.

      OK: 

      SWITCH CONDITION AND TERMINALS CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONS

      Switch condition Tester connection Specified condition
      PWR 1 - 6 Continuity
      NORM 1 - 3, 1 - 6 No continuity
      SNOW 1 - 3 Continuity

    1. NG: REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSY NO. 1 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOM TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
