Park/Neutral Position Switch: Installation

1. Install PNP switch using the following steps:
   1. Install PNP switch with bolt. Tighten bolt to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
   2. Install grommet, new lock washer and nut. Tighten to specifications. See Fig 2.
   3. Using manual valve lever shaft, fully turn shaft back and back off 2 notches to put in "N" position. See Figure.
   4. Align neutral basic line with switch groove and tighten adjusting bolt to specification. See Figure.
   5. Bend claws on lock washer to stake nut. See Fig 1.
2. Connect PNP switch connector.
3. Connect negative battery terminal.
4. Inspect and adjust PNP switch. See PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH  under ADJUSTMENTS.
5. Inspect and adjust shift lever position. See SHIFT LEVER  under ADJUSTMENTS.
