Description & Operation

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

The multiplex communication system communicates among the gateway ECU, driver side junction block ECU, passenger side junction block ECU, luggage room junction block ECU, driver door ECU, front passenger door ECU, rear door LH ECU, rear door RH ECU, theft deterrent ECU, transponder key computer, moon roof control ECU, rain sensor, driver seat ECU, rear LH seat ECU, rear RH seat ECU, rear seat control switch, combination meter, skid control ECU, air bag sensor assembly, engine control module, A/C control assembly, center cluster integration panel, combination switch, clearance sonar ECU, front light ECU (also referred to as front controller), power tilt and power telescopic ECU, radio and player, multi-display and controls the following systems according to the signals from respective sensors or switches:
