Fuel Lid: Removal

REMOVE FLOOR MAT
REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD
1. Remove the clip and deck trim side board.
2. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
1. Remove the 2 bolts and luggage hold belt strikers.
2. Remove the 5 clips.
3. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear floor finish plate.
  HINT:
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM SIDE COVER
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the side trim tool bag cover.
  HINT:
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. Remove the bolt and luggage hold belt striker.

3. Remove the 2 clips and luggage compartment trim side cover.

REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL
1. Remove the nut.
2. Disconnect the connector.

3. Remove the nut and fuel filler lid opener solenoid.

REMOVE FUEL FILLER SHIELD
1. Remove the 4 screws.
2. Remove the fuel tank cap arid shield.
  CAUTION: Always keep the tank cap closed when it is not required to be open. Keep all fire away during the operation.
3. Install the fuel tank cap quickly.

REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP HANGER
Pull up the fuel tank cap hanger to remove it.
REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER
Remove the nut and fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

REMOVE FUEL LID OPENING SPRING
Insert a screwdriver between the spring and fuel filler opening lid to remove the spring as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID
1. Using a drill, drill out the rivet heads.
2. Remove the fuel filler opening lid.
