Circuit Description
While the engine is being cranked, the battery positive voltage is applied to terminal STA of the ECM. DTC is set when vehicle speed is greater than 12 MPH, engine speed is greater than 1000 RPM, and STA signal is on for 20 seconds with battery votlage at 10.5 volts or more. Possible causes are:
- Faulty park/neutral position switch.
- Faulty starter relay circuit.
- Faulty ignition switch.
- Faulty ECM.
