Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER(LOCK)

    1. Remove A/C amplifier assy with connectors still connected.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    3. Measure voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      PULSE AND WAVEFORM CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      A16-19 (LOCK) - A16-6 (SG) Ignition switch ON Magnet clutch ON Pulse generation (see waveform)

      Result: 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      A NG
      B OK (Checking from DTC)
      C OK (When checking from the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE)

    1. B: REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER 
    2. C: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    A: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY 
    1. Disconnect compressor connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE CONDITION

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      A2-1 - A2-2 at 20°C (68°F) 165 to 205 Ω

    1. NG: REPLACE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY AND AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER) 
    1. Check for open and short circuit in the harness and the connector between the cooler compressor assy and the A/C amplifier (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

    PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
