Park/Neutral Position Switch: Removal

  1. Remove front exhaust pipe using the following steps:
    1. Disconnect 2 heated oxygen sensors.
    2. Remove 4 bolts, nuts and 2 gaskets from left and right TWC.
    3. Remove 2 bolts and support bracket.
    4. Remove 4 bolts and center floor crossmember brace.
    5. Remove front exhaust pipe. See Figure.
  2. Remove 4 bolts and heat insulator.
  3. Disconnect PNP switch connector.
  4. Remove PNP switch using the following steps:
    1. Remove nut and shift lever.
    2. Use screwdriver to pry off lock washer and remove nut.
    3. Remove bolt and pull out PNP switch. See Figure.
