Inspection Procedure

Check PNP signals using hand-held tester.
PREPARATION:

Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
1. Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main SW ON.
CHECK:

Select the item "NSW SW" in the DATA LIST and read its valve displayed.

OK:
1. PNP switch position N: ON
2. PNP switch position except N: OFF
1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
2. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector between park/neutral position switch and wiper control ECU (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
