Inspection Procedure

  1. Check ECU-IG2 fuse. 

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of ECU-IG2 fuse.

    OK: 

    1. Continuity 
    1. NG : Replace the defective fuse. 
    2. OK : Go to next step 
  2. Check voltage between terminal SIG and ES of rain sensor. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn ignition switch ON.

    CHECK: 

    Measure voltage between terminals SIG and ES of rain sensor with connector being connected.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 10-14 V 
    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. Check wire harness and connector between rain sensor and body ground (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Check and repair wire harness and connector between ECU and battery.
