Section 575 (Roof Headlining): Removal

  1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING REAR TRIM 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the roof headlining rear trim.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATS (See  DISASSEMBLY  )

  3. REMOVE REAR MAT SET PLATE 
    1. Remove the 5 screws.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear mat set plate.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 REAR SEAT PROTECTOR 

    Remove the 4 screws and the No. 3 rear seat protectors.

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT FRONT BRACKET COVER 

    Remove the 2 screws and the No. 3 seat front bracket covers.

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT BRACKET SUPPORT COVERS 
  7. REMOVE CRS TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 3 CRS tether anchor bracket covers.
    2. Remove the 3 CRS tether anchor brackets.

      Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf.cm, 20 ft.lbf) 

  8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR CARPET 
  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR 

    Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

  10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR 

    Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATES 
  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIMS

  13. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LH 
    1. Remove the quarter trim jack cover.
    2. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
    3. Remove the quarter trim panel LH, then disconnect the connector.

  14. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL RH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
    2. Remove the quarter trim panel RH.
  15. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHORS 

    Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

  16. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHORS 

    Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

  17. REMOVE UPPER ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 assist grip plugs, then remove the 2 screws and the assist grip.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
    3. Using a screwdriver, remove the upper roof side inner garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATES 
  19. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIMS 
  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIMS 
  21. REMOVE ASSIST GRIPS 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 6 assist grip plugs, then remove the 6 screws and the 3 assist grips.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.
  22. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  23. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar garnish cover.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar lower garnish as shown in Fig 9 .

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  24. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the bolt and the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor.

      Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

    3. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
    4. Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    5. Use the same manner described above to the other side.
  25. REMOVE SUN VISORS 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 caps.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 4 screws, then disconnect the connectors.
    3. Remove the 2 sun visors.
  26. REMOVE DOUBLE VISORS 

    Remove the 4 screws and the 2 double visors.

  27. REMOVE HOLDERS 

    Remove the 2 screws and the 2 holders.

  28. REMOVE DOME LIGHT 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens as shown in Fig 12 .

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 4 screws and the dome light, then disconnect the connector.

  29. REMOVE MAP LAMP 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens as shown in Fig 13 .

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 4 screws and the map lamp, then disconnect the connector.

  30. REMOVE OVERHEAD CONSOLE BOX 
    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the overhead console box, then disconnect the connector.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  31. REMOVE ASSIST GRIPS 
  32. REMOVE CENTER ASSIST GRIPS

  33. w/ LEXUS Link System: 

    REMOVE OVERHEAD CONSOLE BOX 

    1. Using a screwdriver, open the LEXUS link system switch assembly.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the bolt.
    3. Using a screwdriver, remove the overhead console box, then disconnect the connector.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  34. REMOVE REAR COOLER CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the rear cooler control assembly, then disconnect the connector.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  35. REMOVE REAR ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the rear room temperature sensor, then disconnect the connector.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  36. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING 

    Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and the roof headlining.

  37. REMOVE ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR 

    Remove the 2 bolts and the adjustable anchor.

  38. REMOVE CENTER ASSIST GRIPS 
  39. REMOVE AIR OUTLET GRILLE 

    Remove the 4 screws and the air outlet grille.
