Section 575 (Roof Headlining): Removal
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING REAR TRIM
Using a screwdriver, remove the roof headlining rear trim.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATS (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE REAR MAT SET PLATE
- Remove the 5 screws.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the rear mat set plate.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE NO. 3 REAR SEAT PROTECTOR
Remove the 4 screws and the No. 3 rear seat protectors.
- REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT FRONT BRACKET COVER
Remove the 2 screws and the No. 3 seat front bracket covers.
- REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT BRACKET SUPPORT COVERS
- REMOVE CRS TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET
- Remove the 3 CRS tether anchor bracket covers.
- Remove the 3 CRS tether anchor brackets.
Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf.cm, 20 ft.lbf)
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR CARPET
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATES
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIMS
- REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LH
- Remove the quarter trim jack cover.
- Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
- Remove the quarter trim panel LH, then disconnect the connector.
- REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL RH
- Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
- Remove the quarter trim panel RH.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHORS
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHORS
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
- REMOVE UPPER ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 assist grip plugs, then remove the 2 screws and the assist grip.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the upper roof side inner garnish.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 assist grip plugs, then remove the 2 screws and the assist grip.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATES
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIMS
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIMS
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIPS
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 6 assist grip plugs, then remove the 6 screws and the 3 assist grips.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 6 assist grip plugs, then remove the 6 screws and the 3 assist grips.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnish.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnish.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar garnish cover.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar lower garnish as shown in Fig 9
.

Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar garnish cover.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the bolt and the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor.
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
- Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the center pillar garnish.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.
- REMOVE SUN VISORS
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 caps.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the 4 screws, then disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the 2 sun visors.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 caps.
- REMOVE DOUBLE VISORS
Remove the 4 screws and the 2 double visors.
- REMOVE HOLDERS
Remove the 2 screws and the 2 holders.
- REMOVE DOME LIGHT
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lens as shown in Fig 12
.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the 4 screws and the dome light, then disconnect the connector.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lens as shown in Fig 12
.
- REMOVE MAP LAMP
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lens as shown in Fig 13
.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the 4 screws and the map lamp, then disconnect the connector.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lens as shown in Fig 13
.
- REMOVE OVERHEAD CONSOLE BOX
- Remove the bolt.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the overhead console box, then disconnect the connector.

Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIPS
- REMOVE CENTER ASSIST GRIPS
- w/ LEXUS Link System:
REMOVE OVERHEAD CONSOLE BOX
- Using a screwdriver, open the LEXUS link system switch assembly.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the bolt.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the overhead console box, then disconnect the connector.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Using a screwdriver, open the LEXUS link system switch assembly.
- REMOVE REAR COOLER CONTROL ASSEMBLY
Using a screwdriver, remove the rear cooler control assembly, then disconnect the connector.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE REAR ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using a screwdriver, remove the rear room temperature sensor, then disconnect the connector.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING
Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and the roof headlining.
- REMOVE ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR
Remove the 2 bolts and the adjustable anchor.
- REMOVE CENTER ASSIST GRIPS
- REMOVE AIR OUTLET GRILLE
Remove the 4 screws and the air outlet grille.
