Inspection Procedure

HINT: 

Start the inspection from step  1 in the case of using the hand-held tester, and start from step  2 in the case of not using the hand-held tester.

  1. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
    3. Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the hand-held tester.

    BODY NO. 1: 

    DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE (BODY NO. 1)

    OFF: Front passenger's door lock is in lock position

    Rr. LOCK POS SW Rear slide door lock position SW signal/ON or OFF ON: Rear slide door lock is in unlock position
    OFF: Rear slide door lock is in lock position

    D LOCK POS SW Driver's door lock position SW signal/ON or OFF ON: Door lock is in unlock position
    OFF: Door lock is in lock position
    -
    1. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  
    2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the 1P, B7 and B9 connector from instrument panel junction block assy.
    2. Check the continuity between each of the terminals of the instrument panel junction block assy connector side and body ground as shown in Fig 1 .
