How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

Troubleshoot in accordance with the procedures on the following references.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND SYMPTOM CHECK 
  3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN) 
    1. Use the hand-held tester to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
      1. (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) Without code outputs, proceed to A.
      2. (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) With code outputs, proceed to B.
    1. B: Go to  MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    2. A: Go to next step 
  4. DTC CHECK (See  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE  ) 
    1. Check for a diagnostic trouble code.
      1. Without code outputs, proceed to A.
      2. With code outputs, proceed to B.
    1. B: Go to step   6 
    2. A: Go to next step 
  5. (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
    1. When problem is not listed on problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
    2. When problem is listed on problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
    1. B: Go to step   7 
    2. A: Go to next step 
  6. PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING ACCORDING TO MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM 
    1. (See PRE-CHECK ).
      1. Inspection with the hand-held tester (ECU DATA LIST).
      2. Inspection with the hand-held tester (ACTIVE TEST).
    2. (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).
    3. (See INSPECTION ).
    4. (See TERMINALS OF ECU ).
  7. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  8. RESET POWER SLIDE DOOR SYSTEM (See  PRE-CHECK  ) 
  9. CONFIRMATION TEST 
    1. Go to END
