Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
  • Even though the terminal TC is not connected with terminal E1, the MIL blinks.
  • For the above phenomenon, an open or short in the wire harness, or malfunction inside the ECM is likely.
  1. Check voltage between terminals TC and E1 of DLC1.

    PREPARATION:

    Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK:

Measure the voltage between terminals TC and E1 of the DLC3.

    OK:

    Voltage: 9 to 14 V

    1. OK: Go to step   3 .
    2. NG: Go to Next Step
  2. Check continuity between terminal E1 of DLC1 and body ground.
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
    2. OK: Go to next step.
  3. Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between ECM and DLC1 (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
    2. OK: Go to next step.
