Inspection Procedure

HINT:

In case of using the hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and incase of not using the hand-held tester, start from step 2.

Check pattern select switch using hand-held tester.
PREPARATION:

Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC 3.

CHECK:

Check the pattern select switch using DATA LIST.
1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table:
  For 2JZ-GE, see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
  
  For 3UZ-FE, see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
2. NG: Go to next step.
Check pattern select switch:
For 2JZ-GE, see PATTERN SELECT SWITCH CIRCUIT .

For 3UZ-FE, see PATTERN SELECT SWITCH CIRCUIT .
1. NG: Replace the pattern select switch.
2. OK: Go to next step.
Check wire harness and connector between pattern select switch and body ECU No.1.
1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table:
  For 2JZ-GE, see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
  
  For 3UZ-FE, see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
