Inspection Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH)
- Disconnect the transmission control switch connector of shift lock control unit assy.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in Fig 2 below.

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SEE ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH-BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 4 below.

Standard:
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SEE ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: Go to next step.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 4 below.
- INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH
- Measure resistance between each terminal of shift lock control unit assy when the shift lever is moved to each position.

Standard:
- NG: REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH (SEE FLOOR SHIFT ASSY )
- OK: Go to next step.
- Measure resistance between each terminal of shift lock control unit assy when the shift lever is moved to each position.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - ECM)
- Connect the transmission control switch connector of lock control unit assy.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and measure the voltage according to the value(s) in Fig 8 below when the shift lever is moved to each position.

Standard:
- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 10 below when the shift lever is moved to each position.

Standard:
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SEE ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
