Headlight Assembly: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB 
    1. Remove the No. 2 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT SOCKET COVER 
    1. Separate the headlight socket cover as shown in the illustration.
    2. Remove the headlight socket cover from the headlight cord.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight) 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Separate the light control ECU socket as shown in the illustration.

    2. Release the set spring and remove the No. 1 headlight bulb.

  5. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the front turn signal light bulb and the front turn signal light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.
    2. Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket.
  6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET

  7. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the front side marker light bulb and the front side maker light socket and wire in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.
    2. Remove the front side marker light bulb from the front side maker light socket and wire.
  8. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE

  9. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the clearance light bulb and the clearance light socket and wire in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.
    2. Remove the clearance light bulb from the clearance light socket and wire.
  10. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE

  11. REMOVE LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and the bracket.

    2. Remove the 4 screws.
    3. Disconnect the light control ECU sub-assembly and the No. 1 headlight cover.

    4. Remove the 3 screws, the light control ECU sub-assembly and the headlight cord.

    5. Disconnect the connector and remove the light control ECU sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ AFS) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and the cover.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and the bracket.

    3. Remove the 4 screws.
    4. Disconnect the light control ECU sub-assembly and the No. 1 headlight cover.

    5. Remove the 3 screws, the light control ECU sub-assembly and the headlight cord.

    6. Release the claw, disconnect the connector, and remove the light control ECU sub-assembly.
  13. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER (for HID Headlight) 
  14. REMOVE HEADLIGHT BRACKET (for HID Headlight) 
  15. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Remove the headlight gasket.
      NOTE: After the headlight gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

  16. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CORD (for HID Headlight) 
  17. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Remove the headlight leveling motor as shown in the illustration.
  18. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.
      NOTE: After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

  19. REMOVE HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/AFS) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the screw and the headlight swivel ECU sub-assembly.

  20. REMOVE LIGHT REFLECTOR MOTOR (w/ AFS) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and the light reflector motor.
  21. REMOVE HEADLIGHT UNIT
