Brake Actuator: Installation

  1. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR 
    1. Install the brake actuator to the actuator bracket assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET 
    1. Install the brake actuator with brake actuator bracket with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness.

    2. Connect the actuator connector.
      NOTE: Make sure that the connector is locked securely.

    3. Temporarily tighten each brake tube to the correct positions of the brake actuator assembly as shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      • *1: To Front Wheel Cylinder RH
      • *2: To Front Wheel Cylinder LH
      • *3: To Rear Wheel Cylinder RH
      • *4: To Rear Wheel Cylinder LH
      • *5: From 2nd Master Cylinder
      • *6: From 1st Master Cylinder

    4. Using SST, fully tighten each brake tube.

      SST 09023-00101 

      Torque: 15 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)

    5. Install the air conditioner tube bracket with the bolt and connect the wire harness clamp and air conditioner tube clamp.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf)

  3. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID  (See BLEEDING )
  8. BLEED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See BLEEDING )
  9. BLEED BRAKE LINE  (See BLEEDING )
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  11. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR  (See BLEEDING )
  12. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE 
  13. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR  (See BLEEDING )
  14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  16. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

  18. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
