Generator ASSY: Replacement

  1. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSY 
    1. Remove the wire harness clamp.
    2. Disconnect the generator connector.
    3. Open the terminal cap and remove the nut and the generator wire.

    4. Loosen bolts A and B.
    5. Loosen bolt C to lessen the tension of the V belt No. 1.

    6. Remove bolts A, B and the generator.

  2. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSY 
    1. Temporarily install generator with bolts A and B.

    2. Adjust the V belt No. 1 tension by tightening bolt C. (See INSPECTION )

    3. Tighten bolts A and B.

      Torque: 

      58 N.m (592 kgf.cm, 43 ft.lbf) for bolt A 

      18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf) for bolt B 

    4. Install the generator wire with the nut.

      Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    5. Connect the generator connector.
    6. Install the wire harness clamp.
  3. INSPECT DRIVE BELT (See  INSPECTION  )
