Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
    2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.
    3. Disconnect the connectors from the seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assy RH.
    4. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.
    5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    6. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU - VOLTAGE TABLE  .

    Standard: 

    FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU - VOLTAGE TABLE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    S65-1 - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
    S65-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
    S65-1 - S65-2 Always 1 MΩ or Higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH - VOLTAGE TABLE  g when the ignition switch is in ON position.
    NOTE: Be sure to inspect the correct connectors.

    Standard: 

    FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH - VOLTAGE TABLE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    S65-1 - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
    S65-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V

    NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH (See step 8 in  REPLACEMENT  ) 

    OK: REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU (See step 10 in  REPLACEMENT  )
