Inspection Procedure
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISTANCE CONTROL ECU - LASER RADAR SENSOR)
- Check for an open or short circuit in harness and connector between the distance control ECU and the laser radar sensor (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT LASER RADAR SENSOR
- Remove the laser radar sensor with the connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Measure the voltage between terminal IGB (L1-5) of the laser radar sensor and body ground.
Standard: 10 to 14 V
- Check the signal waveform between terminal LRDD (L1-3) of the laser radar sensor and body ground.
Standard: Waveform similar to that in the illustration to the left is output.
HINT:
- Gauge set: 2 V/DIV, 10 ms/DIV
- Condition: Ignition switch ON
