Section 584 (Cooling System): Radiator: Installation

INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR SUPPORT
1. Install the No. 2 radiator support to the radiator assembly with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 13 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT LOWER
1. Install the 2 radiator support lowers to the radiator assembly.

INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
1. Install the radiator to the body.

2. Install the bracket to the body with the bolt.
  Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf)

3. Install the condenser assembly to the radiator assembly with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)

INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR SUPPORT
1. Install the No. 1 radiator support to the radiator assembly with the 4 bolts.
  Torque:
  
  Bolt A
  
  13 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
  
  Bolt B
  
  3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)

INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION
1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

INSTALL FAN SHROUD
1. Install the fan shroud to the radiator assembly with the 4 bolts.
  Torque: 7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)

2. Connect the fan motor connector and clamp.

INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
1. Install the radiator support sub-assembly upper with the 5 bolts.
  Torque: 7.8 N*m (80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf)

2. Connect the 3 clamps and connector.

3. Connect the 2 horn connectors.

INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
1. Install the hood lock control cable to the hood lock assembly.
2. Install the 2 bolts and the hood lock assembly to the radiator support sub-assembly upper.
  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

3. Install the hood lock nut and the hood lock nut cap.
  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

4. Connect the connector.
INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
1. Connect the 2 clips, and install the 2 screws and the hood lock control cable cover.

CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
1. Connect the water by-pass hose No. 2 to the radiator assembly with the clip.

CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE
1. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator assembly with the clip.

CONNECT OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE
1. Connect the oil cooler outlet hose to the radiator assembly.

1. Connect the radiator outlet hose to the radiator assembly.

INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization procedure (See INITIALIZATION ).

  Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
