Brake Control Warning Light does not Come ON: Wiring Diagram

(See BRAKE WARNING LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON  ).

NOTE: When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration (See CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS  ).
  1. INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

      Result 

      DISPLAY (DTC OUTPUT) AND PROCEED TO REFERENCE CHART

      Display (DTC Output) Proceed To
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B : REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    A : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

      Result 

      DISPLAY (DTC OUTPUT) AND PROCEED TO REFERENCE CHART

      Display (DTC Output) Proceed To
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B : REPAIR MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    A : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. INSPECT BRAKE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Select the "ECB WARN LAMP" and "VSC WARN LAMP" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the brake control (ECB/VSC) warning light by the intelligent tester.

      ABS / VSC:

    4. Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the brake control (ECB/VSC) warning lights are indicated on the combination meter when using the intelligent tester.

      OK: 

      The brake control (ECB/VSC) warning lights turn on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester. 

      HINT:

      If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  .

    NG : Go to step 4 

    OK : REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU 

  4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the combination meter assembly (See REMOVAL ).

      HINT:

      If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  .

    NG : REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    OK : END
