Combination Meter: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER UPPER 

    For 3GR-FSE (see REMOVAL )

    For 3UZ-FE (see REMOVAL )

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 clips.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the cluster finish panel and then disconnect the connector.

  4. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter.

  5. REMOVE COMBINATION METER GLASS 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    3. Detach the 7 claws and remove the glass.
