DTC B2795 Unmatched Key Code: Description

This DTC is output when an unregistered key is inserted. When this DTC is output, delete the DTC and insert each of the customer's keys to check whether or not this DTC is output. Register any keys that cause this DTC to be output. If this DTC is not output, it is possible that the unregistered key has been inserted before (transponder key ECU is normal). Ask the customer about the condition of the system to determine the cause of the trouble (example: another key has been inserted, etc.).

  1. DELETE DTC AND ALL PRESENTLY AVAILABLE KEYS TO CHECK WHETHER ENGINE STARTS OR NOT 

    HINT:

    When inserting the key that does not start the engine, DTC (B2795) is stored in memory.

    1. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
    2. Insert all the presently keys to check whether the engine starts or not.

    OK: 

    All keys start engine. 

    HINT:

    If the result is OK, confirm whether or not customer has inserted the unregistered key or the immobiliser key (with transponder chip) of the other vehicle in the ignition key cylinder, and find out the cause of detecting DTC.

    1. NG : NO PROBLEM 
    2. OK : REGISTER KEY THAT DOES NOT START ENGINE
